week 15, day 1.5?

4x500m row: 2:13, 2:09, 2:10, 2:10

my forearms were still a little pumped from wednesday's tire flips, but by the middle of my first row, they were LIT!  i went way too super hard out-the-gate on my first 500m.  i'm happy just to have stayed alive, between the wasted forearms and blowup!  the longer i go without doing this stuff, the higher the probability i'm gonna bonehead it.

6x50m swims: freestyle, ~:47-50 each 50m, swam every 1:30 on the clock

i've never worked so hard to swim so slow, but doesn't bother me much, i'm a totally different athlete now  than when i used to swim all the time.  did a slow, steady 500m free to warmup, 50m backstroke, then went into the repeats.  cooled down with 10 minutes of breast stroke.  the swim really relaxed me and i fully enjoyed my time in the pool.
